Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with physical injuries and ailments to improve their mobility, function, and quality of life. You will create personalized treatment plans, guide patients through exercises and techniques, and monitor progress to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical limitations and needs.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific goals and needs.
3. Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve patients' mobility, strength, and flexibility.
4. Provide hands-on manual therapy and modalities to relieve pain and enhance recovery.
5. Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise routines, and self-care techniques to prevent further injury.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to coordinate patient care.
7. Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
8. Stay current on the latest research and best practices in physical therapy to provide high-quality care to patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
2. Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
7. Experience working with patients of all ages and physical abilities.
8. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual therapy techniques.
9. Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
10. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
